Maybelline New York, Forever Strong PRO,  778 Rosy Sand.

Application: 4/5
The bottle claims 'Precision application' and although I got my nails covered I found the polish had to be applied quickly to avoid it thickening up. When done quickly the polish went on well. The brush is thin and long and the tip is slightly rounded (mine might just be a dud because only one side is curved.)

Finish: 5/5
I love the colour and I love the not too shiny shine. With a colour like this I think a bit less shine is good. It is a more serious polish for meetings or interviews or serious things, it is meant to look good without being in your face and it is. I really like the colour :)

Last: 4/5
I've had it on for three days and it still looks good. A few little chips (probably not helped by the washing up) but that is it.

Overall: 4/5
I LOVE the colour, as you may have noticed. I think that to get a 5/5 I would have needed a more impressive application. A lovely little polish that I would recommend!

Rimmel London 60 seconds 850 & Crack Your Colour 020
Double review means double the fun and I have lots of information to share...

Application: 5/5
Well both polishes were very easy to apply. The shape of the brushes (an oval) makes for great coverage and the brush holds a good amount of polish. Despite the 60 seconds polish saying 'one coat nail polishes' it really did need two coats. Still .... great!

 Finish: 4/5
The 'Aye, Aye, Sailor' polis is glossy and looks great, it comes out a bit darker than it is in the bottle but still a rich colour.
The Crackle colour looks good I tried using it in different ways, and found that a thick coat has a better finish than a thin one.

Last: 5/5
Well I have had the polish on for three days and am really impressed with the look of the polish. It has held really well and the crackle is still looking good in the places where I used a thick coat.

Overall: 5/5
I am really impressed with both these polishes and I would recommend them to any nail polish lover. I am also going to be looking for some more Rimmel London polishes. It really does dry quickly and the application is so easy. The crackle polish is good and much like other similar polishes by different brands.

L'Oreal Paris, 304, Spicy Orange

This is the first time I have tried a L'Oreal polish so I was completely open to what it might be like, so here is the review...

Application: 4/5
Wow does this go on well! There is a curved shaped brush to help with application, and it holds a good amount of polish. It is smooth to apply and for the review I felt it OK to do just 1 coat ... 1!

Finish: 4/5
Although the colour looks slightly darker and more red than the colour in the bottle I still really like it (Just noticed my camera makes it look the same as the colour in the bottle! ). A nice shine and great coverage thanks to the curved brush.

Last: 3/5
As always I've just applied (and then some ironing :( ) so only time will tell, but so far I think I might find some chipping, but who knows?

Overall: 4/5
I love the brush, it really is great! It really helps with a smooth and even application. The colour is nice and the thickness of the polish means the colour is bold and bright.
I will be looking out at the L'Oreal nail polishes again in the future. A good find.

MaxFactor Max Effect mini nail polish.
Fantasy Fire.

I saw the bottle and fell in love with the colour. It's bright, shiny and purple. What's not to like?
So I here is my review...

Application: 3/5
This is a really thin polish which makes it really smooth to apply, but I needed 4 layers of it before I was happy with the colour. As it is only a mini I am a bit worried about how many times I can use it.

Finish: 4/5
With the 4 layers I really like the colour. It is still a bit thin, but in the sun light (when we have some) it really does sparkle!

Last: 4/5
It did well with the major shopping trip today, and believe me it was big!! As I am typing this I have noticed a bit of chipping at the tip but nothing major. I'll add any news of this as I am keeping this on until I come up with a new design.

Overall: 3.5/5
I hate to go into decimal numbers, but the fact that I had to use 4 coats really brings it down for me. The colour however, is great and I really like it.

Review of @BarryMCosmetics foil nail polish.

I have the three foil colours available from @BarryMCosmetics, (gold, silver and lilac) and am raring to go with the testing of the three!
So here it goes... OooNails :D

Application: 4/5
So on went the polish, smooth and sleek. The application brush is long and allows for flexibility when trying to get the polish on the nail, and not the finger. It holds a lot of polish on it and I found it wise to let a lot of the varnish come off the brush to allow the application of thin layers. (I always layer my polish)

Finish: Gold: 4/5 Silver: 4/5 Lilac: 3/5
Well I love the foil effect without having to use nail foils. They really are shiny, magpies beware, and they look gorgeous with the crackle nail polish as a French tip, or a complete cover. I would like the lilac to be a bit bolder, but I guess that's lilac for you :)

Last: 5/5
Well as always this will depend on what you are doing. In my job I use a computer a lot and yet my nail polish stayed intact. I always use base and top coat to protect my polish, so that may help.

Overall: 4/5
These are a set of lovely, shiny nail polishes that have a sleek finish. The gold and silver are gorgeous as is the lilac, it's just not for me.
Here they are!
I think this is a range that BarryMCosmetics should extend, maybe some blues and greens.

So that's it, my review. I hope it helps you out if you are thinking about buying some. Let me know what you think if you do, why not share a photo too?

Review of @Official17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish.

Ooo @Official17 nail polish, lasting up to 5 days... sounds like a challenge to me. I have chosen the lovely 'Juicy' colour for the test but there are a lot more colours in the range. (here)
The back of the bottle says "Up to 5 days of lasting colour. Chip Resistant. Shake well. Apply 2 coats for maximum coverage." I have to test this out!

Day 1: So I have put the polish on. It doesn't say anything about base or top coat on the bottle but I have put on a base coat to protect my nails. It is a really nice colour and having put on two coats, I have decided that when I wear it again I will use 3 coats. It is a bright colour but I think that it could be bolder with 3 coats. A nice finish to the polish and with this typing no chips.
Lets see how it does during the day, TO BE CONTINUED...

A day of wear and it's looking good. It's Sunday so not a particularly hands on day but still the polish is intact. I really want to add another coat to make the colour really stand out but I will keep to what the bottle says for the test. Let's see what tomorrow brings...
Day 1 verdict: The polish does what it says on the bottle!

Day 2: Hard day of working today and I think my nail polish is starting to show the signs of it. Some small chips and wear on the tips of my nails. I think if I had applied top coat this may have been avoided. Because the bottle didn't say to I presume they tested it without top coat. So still following the rules of the bottle as stated at the top of the review and the polish has begun to wear.
Day 2 verdict: The polish still looks good on the nails and the chips are small and few. I'm not optimistic about the next three days but an open mind is key! See what you think from the pictures. You probably won't be able to see the chips, but hey.. I'm looking for them.

Day 3: A very busy day today including a moment where it became clear my nail polish is the same colour as a tennis ball :) One of my nails chipped today, not good news, so where I would normally file them down I have left, to see the remaining colour.

Day 3 verdict: A lot more ware on the colour of the polish at the tips of my nails, especially on my dominant hand. A few little chips too. Like I have said previously I am looking for them, but I think that they are becoming more obvious! Only two days left...

Day 4 verdict: Another hard days work for my nails and again there is a bit of ware on them. Despite this I am impressed with what the polish can handle. Tape, water, scraping all sorts.

The bottle does say up to five days and I have to admit, I am impressed. Despite losing the colour at the tips, it is only a tiny amount. If the colour has a top coat, who knows it may have been longer.

One day left of ware and then the final report :) (Then I can change my nails lots and lots. YAY!)

Just had to add a little comment about the polish doing very well to survive swimming. I swim every week and tend to fing that my nails are struggling after. Today however my nails are still intact and the colour is in the same condition as it was before I got in. I have gained a new found respect the lasting fix brand!

FINAL DAY!

Apart from being very happy to be able to change my nails, I am very happy with the polish. 5 days is a long time to go for a nail polish and if I ever had to wear a polish for that long again (I hope I don't) I would happily buy a lasting fix colour.
The application was good, but as I have said already it really does need three coats to make the colour pop. I would recomend this colour for any one really and it is great for those summer days, when we get some.
@Official17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish... Bravo!

Review of @BarryMCosmetics Silvery Lilac 324

Application: 4/5
As always with Barry M I had no trouble getting the polish on my nails and the coverage is very good. I used base coat (as it suggests on the bottle) which really does help with application and finish. The brush allows you to get to the edges of your nail and avoid your skin at the same time.

Finish:  5/5
This nail polish looks AWESOME! I absolutely love it. The shine makes it hard for me to not look at it and the light catching it makes the colour look great. It really is a lilac/silver mash up! For me this is a step up from the foils and just adds that extra sparkle to the nail. Using this as a French tip on the lilac or silver foil would look nice.

Last: Yet to wear it for more than an hour so I can't really tell you as of yet!

Overall: 5/5
A lovely finish polish that is bound to get your nails some attention! It can be for a special occasion or just to add a bit of glam to a dull day.

GET GET GET :D

So that's it, my review. I hope it helps you out if you are thinking about buying it. Let me know what you think if you do, why not share a photo too?

The lilac really isn't given justice with my camera, and the sparkle sparkle made it hard for the lens to focus.

But still GORGEOUS!

Not to self: Get a better camera!
